| Q.
Why Utilize the UltraDrive™
Technology?
A.
The UltraDrive™
System has been continually improved in both its performance and
applications. No longer is it necessary to attach and remove the
drive system from the medical devices. Through the use of the
UltraDrive™
technology we have provided our customers a consistent, reliable device
with repeatable results. The UltraDrive™
is a small footprint robust device that allows technicians the help that
they need to further reduce their physical workload so that they can do
what they do best, IMAGE PATIENTS! |
| Q. As an OEM Why Not Recommend
the UltraDrive™ to your Customers?
A. As
an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), you want to give your
customers the best medical technology available. Also, you want
your product to "Do No Harm" while providing that technology. As an
OEM you should not be concerned with FDA approvals for approximately 30%
of your technology users. That's right, only about 30% of your market is
the mobile market! With our custom designed UltraDrive™
Systems that are not interconnected to the medical device, you don't have to be concerned with FDA approvals for the
mobility function of your device. It is truly stand alone, while
still being attached to the medical device. We utilize existing
bolt up features to attach our device.
As an OEM, your physicians and end users can be provided your
technology during their Mobile Phase. When those physicians and
providers are ready to purchase for their fixed based operations, they
will be more inclined to purchase the technology that has helped them to
build their practice, and the technology that they know best, YOUR
TECHNOLOGY! |
| Q. WHAT DOES THIS DO FOR ME, THE EMPLOYER?
A.
As an employer of highly skilled imaging technicians, you have a duty to
keep them safe, in a physically stress free work environment. The use
of the UltraDrive can help to reduce overall muscoskeletal on the job
injuries. The reduction is seen as a proactive step by your
Workmen's Compensation Insurance provider. Every action
that you take towards ensuring that your technicians are safe on the job
and helps to reduce your cost of providing these services, saves
operating cost. |
| Q. WHY DO I NEED THE ULTRADRIVE™ SYSTEM?
A. An additional ground clearance can
be obtained for movement of low riding equipment. Daily pushing
and pulling of equipment in weight ranges from 200 to 3000 pounds can
cause repetitive stress and back injuries. An average workmen's
compensation claim can be $5,000 or more for a first time injury.
|
| Q. CAN I MANEUVER IN CLOSE QUARTERS?
A. Our specially designed
programmable microprocessor controller allows for the most minute movements to be
accomplished for safe and accurate positioning of equipment. |
| Q. WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED ON THESE SYSTEMS?
A. Sealed motors, wheel bearings,
controllers and gel cell batteries are maintenance free. Other
than a daily recharge, no service is required. Annual replacement
of both batteries is recommended. 24 hour maintenance and trouble
shooting assistance is only a phone call away. |
| Q. IS THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MODIFIED IN ANY WAY?
A. NO! Our system utilizes
existing mounting structure for the wheels and casters provided by the
manufacturer. |
| Q. CAN I MOVE THE EQUIPMENT MANUALLY WITH THE ULTRADRIVE INSTALLED?
A. You can disengage the automatic
wheel brakes (without removing covers), and move the equipment
manually, much in the same way as you would without the system
installed. Some UltraDrive models feature retractable drive wheels. |
| Q. HOW LONG OR HOW FAR CAN I DRIVE THIS SYSTEM BEFORE A CHARGE OF THE
BATTERIES IS REQUIRED? A.
Normal drive time is about 8 hours before the unit must be
plugged into a 110 volt (or 220 volt) outlet for approximately 8 hours
for a full charge. |
| Q. WHY SHOULD I REPLACE THE PALLET JACK THAT I CURRENTLY PROVIDE FOR MY
TRANSPORTABLE SYSTEM? A.
A pallet jack must be removed prior to setting up the equipment,
stored off site and is unsafe and unsightly. It also cannot
provide the control and stability necessary to allow maneuvering in all
directions. |
| Q. WHY WOULD I NOT USE A MODIFIED MOTOR HOME
OR TRUCK AS A "CLINIC ON WHEELS" INSTEAD OF BRINGING THE DEVICE INDOORS?
A. YOU CAN! With a motorized
system, you can offer the medical facility the option of "Treat On" in
your vehicle, or "Treat Off" in the facility's building, giving you the
maximum flexibility for your equipment investment. |
