About the GEN 5 UltraDrive™

      The TLD UltraDrive™ was originally developed in 1983 specifically for Ultrasound mobility.  Over twenty years of refining this product has led to our current product, the GEN 5. 

 This device has the following features:

     Permanent mounting to rear of Ultrasound machine (no clumsy attach- detach like a removable design). The entire upper portion of the UltraDrive™ unlatches and swings away for Ultrasound servicing.

     The UltraDrive™ replaces the back two wheels of your Ultrasound device, requiring no drilling or modification of any kind.  It adds only a few inches of additional length behind.  The stability of this proven format allows confidence when negotiating tight doorways, corners and steep ramps.

     The UltraDrive™ has two powerful 24 volt motors controlled by a joystick.  This allows finger tip steering, acceleration and braking.  A speed control knob enables the operator to navigate at a crawl in tight quarters.  The power of the TLD device is such that climbing ramps from a dead stop is easy and thick carpet is no problem at all.

     The UltraDrive™ has a built-in battery charger with a 20 foot retractable cord.  This allows charging at anytime and anyplace.  The batteries will allow approximately 8 hours of continuous use.  A bar-graph charge indicator is included.
